Sheffield Wednesday manager Brian Laws is keen to sign Australian international David Carney from Sydney FC, reports BBC Radio Sheffield.
The 23-year-old midfielder who began his career with Everton is believed to be high on Wednesday's list of targets.

Laws said: "I think he can play in the Championship, no problem. He has a fantastic left foot, is prepared to take people on and has an eye for goal.
