    What a disgrace!!!

He'd have been just what we needed. Why we mess around signing lower league players I don't know. I'd rather have him than Mattis and McCann. He'd had stablility at the back and give us that experience. I'd go as far as saying that his signing would keep us up. It'd keep Kay and Reid on their toes and they could alternate the other position depending on who is on form.

Yet again the tarn board won't shell out the cash. Surely his wages are worth paying for a few months to ensure survival! It's as if we don't dare take any risks and are just hoping that this squad has it in them. It's a very inexperienced squad with hardly any top flight (If any!? experience!

    What a joke!

You are right, but if they were in for him .......

...... we wouldn't have got him anyway.

Pains me to say it, but look at it from his point of view .....

    Sheffield Weds - mid-table - 20,000 gates
    Barnsley - relegation battle - 10,000 gates

.... that's assuming that we would/could match what the pigs have offered him

    Yes Because A Biased Aside........

who in their right minds would choose us over Wednesday if they had a choice ? Wednesday can offer more money, more history, better ground, better league position, better crowds etc. What's to say we didn't go in for him ?

They can get both the History Channel and UKTV History on the telly in the dressing room, and free entry to Sheffield Museum.

I'd just like to point out ...

    ... he's right.

    Wednesday were formed in 1867.
    We were formed in 1887.

They have 20 years more history than us.

Get your facts right in future Jay.

Good job he signed for them then

But shouldn't he really have signed for Notts County, what with them being formed in 1862.

Notts County have at least 1.76 times more History than any other club.

    Yes.

Notts County would've paid £1.76m worth of tuna (via David Platt) for him.

I think he should've gone amateur - as he's roughly 300 years old.
He could've signed for Sheffield FC, who were formed in 1857 & are currently having a ding-dong with some posh Uni about who had the first footy club ever.

You have more history than I.

Dirk has more "history" than anyone I know.

Exactly. And history wise they have spent time in Europe and many seasons in the top flight. Plus they are a city which always helps attract players.

Like telling the age of a tree, count the wrinkles on my flaccid member to see the number of Lovingstone 'Lovelies' who have spread jam on my rug.

Apart from the last bit not making sense ... you really need to learn about quitting while you're ahead.

Now sod off & bum your 9 year old bint whilst watching silly American Wrestling.

Hey no need to get personal over an opinion. The last bit is the known fact that football players generally prefer city life to town life.

Probably explains why those who play for "City clubs"

live as far away from the City as they possibly can.</p>

    Really?

Which Roundsman-esque poll did you use to establish that footballers prefer city life to "town life", whatever that is?

You need to stick to posting rubbish porn & keep well away form the adults stuff - such as football, kettles & women.
