The scoreboard has been ordered and there are bids in place for the fitting of said scoreboard.

It's like our left back. Everybody with a brain can see it's faulty, except those who can fix/replace it.

Kennedy has done nothing wrong since moving back to left back.

Can't say I'm bothered about a scoreboard. I want a better team at this moment in time, not a new scoreboard.

It's like some think, yeah were struggling, but look at the pixels on that screen.

My personal view is that once the giant screen gets put up we will start winning games and fly up the league.....why do I think that??

Aye, and Kevin Gallen was the best striker to pull on our shirt.

apparently the money put aside for the scoreboard has been redistributed into paddys beer fund for this pub crawl the club is doing

They're waiting for a few letters and numbers that have not been delivered mainly "Barnsley 0"

It will soon be sorted but for our next home game we may just have enough lights working so the scoreboard at the start of the game reads.....

    R 0
    B 0

because everyone in the ground will have a mobile phone or a watch so whats point in it, i'd rather have a new left back and a energetic hard working goalscoring creative midfielder, same as all this ****** with TV's and new badges, if you want to watch TV stay at home and watch blue peter they might even send you a new badge if your lucky kill two birds with one stone

But a scoreboard will provide the money for many left backs going forwards because of the significant increases in advertising revenue that it will generate plus the (small) increase in turnover due to more people going to Barnsley matches because the facilities haven't been donated from leftovers of the miners strike.

the funding model for the scoreboard is completely different to a player transfer. it's a lease purchase over a period of time, which is offset against advertising revenue. It's just not a case of either/or...unless someone is prepared to give us a quality left back for 50k, and accept payments over the next 10 years.

the scoreboard isn't going to turn our season round, but it's something we need urgently. and getting one isn't going to impact our spending power in the transfer market. it's a no brainer.

You don't think that a video advertisement on a board that thousands of people will look at right after a goal has been scored will be more valuable or sought after than a static piece of painted wood in the bottom corner of the west stand?

Will it allow us to recruit a central midfielder who scores/creates goals? And will it force the manager to then select one, rather than a combination of Chuckle Brothers?

    To me, to thee.

I've been assured btw, that my fears over our left back are unfounded. I will no longer question it. He's faultless.

Viva the hoof and inability to defend. You reds.

The sponsorship on the new screen from Woody's chip shop and whoever else will surely generate enough money for quality players won't it.

It will take about a decade to pay off with who we have sponsoring us.

Concentrate on the team at the moment is what I say.
