There's been a lot of talk on here about the lack of pace in our defence, undeniable I agree, but after finally getting round to watching the extended highlights, arguably none of the 3 goals on saturday were due to a lack of pace. For all 3 goals, we had plenty of players between the ball and the goal but simply didn't get the basics right - as usual one was a free header from a set-piece. While pace is always a good asset for a player in any position, proper defending is more important in my opinion. I don't remember Paul Futcher sprinting after opposing strikers...
