what has the guy ever done to offend the good folk of Barnsley? Anything specific or just playing for the blades. Im 33 and by no means an old fart but I thought the personal abuse he got today was way over the line of acceptability. By all means call him a fat b**tard etc but the stuff about his wife - please. I know what people will say - part of the job etc etc, its only banter. Banter is by definition a two way thing just heaping abuse on the poor bloke when he has absolutely no comeback is IMHO pathetic. Would any of us like it ? would you give grief to the bloke at work whose wife has been playing the field? Presumably not - or if you did you would certainly expect some comeback. Im all for a bit of grief giving to the opposition and in particular anyone who plays for those buggers IF there is a genuine need / reason(Morgan today for example, Howard in Feb) but I did think it was way out of line. cue the abuse.............
He was giving some back, i clocked lots of one fingered gestures and he was giving it the 'come on then' signal with his hands behind his back so the officials couldn't see
Might have been an idea to try and lift the team rather abuse Kenny To be fair he made two good saves from Kozluk and Colace
i think it was more aimed at taking his mind of the game to be honest but he's a true pro and he's herd it all before
well wouldn't you ffs. Thats one of my main problems with this - he gets dogs abuse but as soon as any gestures are made back by him them people start getting upset. Yes he should be a professional but so am I frankly and would find it really hard not to react to a few hundred people claiming they have shagged my wife. either a) dont give it out or b) dont get upset when he has a go back
Nowhere in my post did i say that a) i was giving it out or b) that i was upset when he reacted He made the decision to be petty and retaliate, as a professional he should know better.
He asks for it I have seen him many times home and away and like Kanecat says he is constantly winding the crowd up, subtly, so that the ref can't see (although Andy D'ickhead Urso would not have spotted it if he had machine gunned half the Ponty). He is good at it, and he loves the abuse he gets. Water off a duck's back. He's a good keeper, but asks to be abused.
a tek it tha weren't at same fixture last season?a week after she'd got caught shaggin his best mate.it was far worse then. to be fair to bloke he took it ont chin and had a laugh abart it then as he did today. where he also had last laugh.
I didn't see this happen, but a wendy friend of mine said when they played them a few weeks a go, the Wendy fans were sing the usual Paddy where's your wife, and he turned round looked at them and shrugged his shoulders. Its probably just water of a ducks back to him when they play away games he knows to expect it.
