If I came home and found him in. Bed wit wife, I'd bring him a cuppa tea, and ask if he needed another blanket
I dunno. Still plenty to improve on. He gave the ball away a fair few times, put a good attempt well wide, scored a beauty and then somehow got injured. Can only go on the last two home games so he played well for about 60 minutes against Reading and was on the pitch for less than half an hour today.
If he fell asleep ask him what colour shirt he was dreaming of passing it to this afternoon for the first half hour, cos it wasn't red. Tell him I forgive him though.
Not a fair assessment? Nothing I said is more than opinion. He did tire after an hour against Reading, did put one well wide today, did play today for less than half hour, did score a beauty goal and did get injured. Too much pressure is put on him, but he's quite rightly a crowd favourite. Until he gets a consistant run of 90 minutes under his belt we don't have much to go on.
At least three crap passes to start with, my young said "You've brought me all this way to see this Paddy bloke". He was happy enough soon after though.
To be fair he was having a shocker until that moment when he curled the shot in. Who cares, he only needs a few seconds in each match to conjure to be worth turning up for and potentially win the match
McCourt's on a mazy run, scores a beauty and we jump for joy... Hail! Hail! Paddy! We love our Derry bhoy
He didn't get injured. I seem to remember you also claimed O'Grady wasn't good enough for us if he wasn't good enough for Wednesday. You're entitled to your opinion, but that doesn't mean it can't be challenged and it's up to others to judge whether anyone of us speak with any level of credibility. Had that been scored by a Huddersfield player, I don't doubt you'd have been waxing lyrical about it. Just my opinion.
He curled one with the outside of his boot which wasn't far off. British football is littered with talentless gung ho players who have had a lucky break. Tell me any player in recent years who has had the ability to keep the ball at his feet so effortlessly. He doesn't even look like he's running. You can't teach that skill. An absolute gift.
I can't claim credit for the saying. It was from the 1966 World Cup, and was a scouser's comment on Florian Albert.
I've got a few Celtic supporting mates, they all reckon he has sublime talent but is only good for 30-45 minutes. This seems pretty accurate at the mo, but hey, what a 30-45 minutes!
For ****'s sake...The guy's an entertainer...make the most of him, we'll probably not see the likes for a good few years!!
If he puts us one up on a regular basis he can piss of for a ***, a pint or what ever the **** he wants.
