If we line up in a 5-4-1 as I expect, then perhaps Paddy will be the one tasked with working with COG? But I agree, pal. I've doubts over his longevity. But Flicker knows best.
I'd like to think that we start with the team which finished on Saturday, minus Steele of course. Got to be positive. To sit back and defend and let them come at us would IMO be suicidal. We really must take something from this game. Good Luck Guys.
Has no one found any tenuous links of friendship between Flitcroft, Butland and Fox, yet? After all, you lot appear to have an insatiable appetite for sticks to beat a man with.
He looked shot at full time even though he was only on the pitch for about 20-25 minutes. I'd be very surprised if he starts today and if he does he will be off by the hour mark.
Or a 4 5 1, let the defenders get on with defending and let the midfield and striker worry about the attacking.
As many have said, he doesn't look like he could last 90 minutes. But he looks well capable of setting up a goal. If he sets up two goals in the first half I don't care if he only lasts 55 minutes. Then you either bring Scotland on to hold the ball up in the opposition half and give their centre halves summat to think about or bring on another midfield player. Not all players are superb natural athletes. They are in the Premier League, but at this level you can still be a very good player if you have the necessary sills even if you haven't got the physicality. You just use your players to benefit the team. It doesn't matter that McCourt can't last 90 minutes when we have 7 players on the bench and are able to use 3 of them.
He looks like one of those players that are quite good at conserving their energy and then letting it loose when getting the ball. Like you am for what he does on the ball to compensate.
