I've been watching us for over 20 years so I'm well aware that we have a significant contingent of dopey fans but today took the piss.

I heard 'get paddy off' 'bloody rubbish' quite a few times today and not all from the same idiot. Now admittedly, it wasn't his best game and he certainly didn't warrant the mom award but clearly they must have missed his cross for O'Grady, his near worldy in the first half, the mazy dribbles, the shot well saved by the keeper, but more importantly the willingness to try and win the game.

It's going to be a bloody long season if the west stand faithful continue to demand Paddy track back, put his foot in etc etc. We have one of the most talented players I've ever seen in a red shirt, someone who can win a game single handedly but it seems that some would prefer another grafter in he midfield, because obviously were short on them.

Not much came off for him today and he was a passenger for the most part.

You only need one to come off a game and he's worth his place.

He also creates space elsewhere as the opposition always double up on him.

Drive me mad. It was after about 50 mins as well, at 0 chuffing 0. Yeah, take your creative threat off, that'll help. He went on to look really decent for the next 20 mins or so but it still didn't stop them berating him when he gave the ball away.

I bet Fox has never given the ball away. He's never actually done anything with the ball either like, but that doesn't matter.

    Flicker needs to take responsibility

Paddy has already said he's been playing with an injury. Ten mins into the second half he looked dead on his feet and was obviously in some discomfort.
It's all well and good keeping him on the pitch in case he changes the game, but for the main part he was struggling in the second half. To ask him to play 90 mins whilst injured is only going to lead one way ..... long term injury. Cwyka should have come on alot earlier. We have a decent squad... he needs to use his subs more effectively.

He always looks dead on his feet when he hasn't got the ball!

Seriously though, I agree that he doesn't appear to have 90 mins in him, whether that's an injury thing or not I don't know. But we were drawing 0-0 and even when he was knackered he was still the most likely to make a breakthrough. The cog cross, the shot, the dribble and penalty shout, the brilliant through ball to obrien etc etc. Not bad for someone dead on his feet.

I reckon Flicker is scared to take him off.

Scared of Paddy and the crowd reaction.

If we are not winning Paddy stays on.

    Not criticiising. Just observing

I agree he is brilliant... I want him to be available to be brilliant for the next match that's all. He was definitely suffering (more than just the looking knackered bit).

I agree, he is a talent alright , however the player who can turn a game and win is playing for a team who can't win lol

Flitcroft did signal to him at about 60 - 70 mins to see if he was ok. Paddy put both hands up to signal 10 mins and that was that. By the time he was really struggling I think the 3 subs had been made.

Take your point though, we need to keep him fit.

    I did put 'near worldy'.

Mazy dribble past 3 or 4 players but without the finish past the keeper like versus Boro.

    Or did I imagine it?

We'd have been even worse had had been subbed off. But it was ridiculous he got the MOTM award. I can only assume the sponsors just want to meet the guy.
