Pains me to say it after what i though of him when he left the club but

We need a John Dennis type person on the board. Someone who has an affinity to the town and knows football and how to run a football club.

For me PC doesnt need to fully leave the club imho but we need someone in to come and take some of his share and be another voice for the people and for the football side of things. Maurice operates on another level to BFC coming from Man Utd - just dont feel he offers the same as what a JD could. He doesnt really know us.

Trouble is i despised JD when the club went tits up and the way he was swaggering about in the car park when i saw him. They pulled the rug from under the shareholders and i dare say that bad feeling will still run through a lot of people.

So who else could do this if not JD?

I have to say though, i went to see JD at the Lamproom when he did that evening with John Hendrie and i thawed a little to him. Maybe he could offer us something again - he did say he would be interested in the future if the opportunity arose. I doubt PC woudl be on the same board as him though as i understand the 2 dont see eye to eye? Also i think football has changed a lot since JD's tenure.

 

Didn't PC offer to pay for Ashley Ward to come back to us from Bradford, and JD refused the offer?

 

something like that and i think JD hinted he wouldn't get involved with the current regime but cant remember for sure.
