They were a lot better 2nd half , especially when Clinton Morrison went off. They look to have some decent young players , just need a bit of direction.
RE: They were a lot better 2nd half , especially when Clinton Morrison went off. that's £5 up to you !!!
RE: They were a lot better 2nd half , especially when Clinton Morrison went off. their finishing was absolutely dire. Not up for it at all. I though the ref was a little bit unkind to them. Got what they deserved and that was nothing. If I was a supporter of the other clubs in and around the relegation battle I wouldn't be too pleased with their application. I didn't realise Sheffki Whoki had signed for them
The Ref was a fool, the bookings we got were ridiculous whereas he only booked their guy coz the crowd were getting on his back.
The Eaststand linesman didnt know the offside rule.

RE: Mind if I ask why? I used to go to all the local sides several times a season, Hudders, Roth, Leeds, Wendy, Barnsley, so this was nothing new. If I'd stayed at home I would have gone insane listening to the radio, internet, TV. Needed a complete distraction to Charlton v Blades. I also took younger family members whose loyalty divides between Blades/Barnsley. There are plenty of the Dark Side supporters in the family so have to show them the light. As it was your scoreboard kept flashing the other scores, spent the last 45 minutes with my eyes virtually glued to the screen.
RE: The Ref was a fool, Think you can do better than the yettis who officiated yesterday?
Then why not go to here:
http://falearning.thefa.com/docent/bin/docentisapi.dll/lms,thunder,2151/?CMD=LOGIN&file=frameset.jsm
And take the Laws of the Game course on line for a £5, It normally costs about £30.
The FA will send you a nice Certificate so you will be able to dazzle all your friends and work mates with your knowledge of the game and the offside Law. If you fancy becoming a ref it enables you to move directly onto the practical course.

I'll look into that thanks, the linesman on the Eaststand side was wrong on 2 occasions if the offside law has been correctly told to the public by the media.
Do you think the linesman was correct?

Which decisions did you think he was unkind to them mate? I think we got the rub of the green yesterday, probably for the first time this season in any match I have seen at oakwell. I agree though, their application in the first half was a bit questionable.
RE: They were a lot better 2nd half , especially when Clinton Morrison went off. Don't think there was anything wrong with their application. But because there was nothing but pride for them to play for it was always going to be us more up for the game, Palace competed up to the 2nd goal, I said at half time that one more goal would kill them off.
RE: I'll look into that thanks, I thought he was dreadful to be honest.
At half time I collered my mate who has well over 20 years refereeing experience and he's normally supportive of the officials. Even he said the lines men made some bad mistakes.

RE: I'll look into that thanks, No the linesman was wrong, on the occasion when the ball came out to Reid and the linesman flagged when it was Nardiello offside I think he flagged too early and seemed to indicate to Nardiello after that he realised that he shouldn't have, but also the flag is not what stops the game, it's the ref's whistle and the ref can, and in this case was in a position to, overrule his assistant.
As i understand the offside rule.... If its a barnsley attack its offside if its an opposition one its legal
