"You caught us on a bad day without our star player"..hmm and davis's absence counts for naught. Its a familiar tune, long may it persist.

"I'll be havin nightmares about some small blonde bloke running rings round me"...exactly.

Fair point against a good side who worked hard and closed us down well and exploited our lack of urgency until the last 15.

Qyite why, despite our posession, we seemed so lethargic and unable to find an early ball into the area, defies explanation but in the end we got what we (Perkins more than anyone) deserved.

Harewood was pants as was Mellis on the whole.

So they make an excuse of missing one player? Like to see them miss as many as we did with Craine, JOB, Mido, Davies etc out injured.

It's not surprising we didn't break them down when the front 2 last night were utter garbage. On the flip side, Perkins' performance was excellent.

I'd argue we got what we deserved.

Thought we were poor overall, and in the second half, hardly put Speroni under any pressure at all.

Why we have the players practising shots is beyond me, as we never seem to want to be able to shoot.

But I agree about Perkins. He was outstanding last night, and fully deserved his goal and MOM award.

At one point in the second half, we had a direct free kick in front of their goals. Instead of shooting, Perkins' played the ball wide and we lost possesion. Some of the set pieces this season from Mellis have been terrific, but (for somne reason) we have resorted to tip tapping around....
