Athens derby win for Steele. Only 3 points behind Olympiakos now with 9 games left. He's having a terrific season there by all accounts. I've tried to find a match report that doesn't require translation, but failed.

In India, Hassell's side won at last. He was subbed off within 10 minutes though, injured.

And Stonesy's side got a point.

    :)

just a bit of an insight for what you saw in the second link.

    http://www.thepressproject.net/arti...is-and-the-press-that-refuses-to-report-on-it

the whale you saw in the photo is the mafia leader, the president of olympiacos..14 out of 17 teams of the championship bow to him ..they all play against olympiacos to lose (usually they play minus 7-8 key players)..this is not a championship, but a travesty..any ref that doesn't play 100-0 for his team is vanished, beaten or his store is burned (actual story)..the internet has not enough space for what has happened all these years..

this has been going on for 18 years now in greece..3 times in these years there have been audio proof of all the above by olympiakos presidents, the president of the leaugue, etc stagin the entire championship..nothing has happened..you can imagine someone like me,31 years old,how much rage there is inside for this team. so he knew what he was doing,he knew that just coming here it would cause chaos..then,out of the blue, his coach stepped to the hardcore fans and dared them to enter the pitch..the video you see is just a few seconds after this happened..now,the athletic judges, that are also proved by the audio tapes that are his pones will wrap my team in a piece of paper..minus 3 points is already heard as a possibility..another fake title for them (once aek finished first and they won the championship in courts).

not that these riots are a first time for greek football,i am just giving a bit of an insight for why stuff happen

Glad to see it's working out for him over there, I must admit I expected him to be warming the bench at best and then being loaned back to a club in England.

When you see some of the keepers who've had opportunities for England I do wonder if he had played for a higher profile Championship club he would have got the call, even if it was only as third choice.

Maybe if he does win the league out there he will make it in to the press over here and get picked up by a Premier League club. Always been a very solid goalie for me, just his distribution that is a bit iffy at times, but then again Joe Hart isn't exactly fantastic at that either.

Thanks for the updates and the links, interesting stuff. Greek football is mental. Must be frustrating as a fan and individual who can do nothing about such corruption.
