If wolves or blackburn go to league 1 they get 16m in parahute next season, that isnt a level playing field either.

In my opinion the parachute should be paid to the clubs debtors first and then if any is left each season the club get it.

Hopefully that will make clubs start to run there business correctly. And not be able to spend 8 million on a striker.

Disgrace. That's why this is my last season, apart from the odd match. Not a proper sport anymore.

Having said that, COYR for tonight.

I think you mean creditors rather than debtors, but the point you make is absolutely spot on.

Indeed. Doesn't seem fair, does it? We've been largely shi.t for years - where's our £60m?

    Exactly!

    I might write to the FA - "We're ****, where's our £60m?"

This deffinately is the season to get promoted though.

Huge boost in TV money, plus if you go down with £60m from parachutes, means if you get religated you'll be able to smash the championship the year after.

i suppose the best way for the likes of Barnsleys and peterboros to look at it is.

if the club does go straight back up the other champioship clubs get the other money left of the parachute. which could be potentially 20-40 million dependent on how many clubs go straight back up per season.

Unfortunately not. As of last season, that money now goes back into the Premier League pot. Sickening or what?

These payments are so unfair they are just one step away from making the PL a closed shop.

the sooner a european league is formed the better IMHO

then maybe we can get a more honest league going again.
