What makes it even harder to believe is that we did it without the German Giant too. Had to make do with an Englishman!!
We were also nearly relegated And as we spent the first half of the season in the top half of the table, when Hassell wasn't in the team, we must have had a pretty calamitous second half when Hassell was patrolling midfield. He's not as bad in that position as many on here believe, and when our backs are really against the wall he's a tenacious little bleeder that puts himself between the ball and the goal like he did against Chelsea, but in an average Championship game he's not that great and I'm very underwhelmed that we're starting the season with Hassell in the middle of the park. I bet Patrick Cryne is too judging by the comments he made earlier in the summer.
