£6 - was a bit shocked by that, I have a season pass at Oakwell but I think matchday parking is £3, I wasn't impressed when the guy on the entrance asked for six quid. Then - courteously directed to a space and guided into the space, a space that wasn't hemmed in by other cars meaning you would have to wait for 3 or 4 people around you to move so you could join the scramble to get out. After the match I got back to the Cakemobile about 15 minutes after full-time, the busiest time for the car park and because there were lots of attendants directing the traffic, well signed amd well maintained manned exits without hot dog vans taking up half the road and a properly designed entry onto the road, it meant I was into free-flowing traffic within 5 minutes. Worth every penny and a million miles away from the car denting free for all getting out of the Oakwell car park after every home match. Quick shout out for the catering as well, a quid for a cup of tea and a bit of choice with the food.
Totally agree. Got away within 5 minutes to my suprise. Very well organized and credit to the officials at Colchester. Wouldn't park in the Oakwell car park if they gave me a free pass.
Went to Coventry 5 or 6 years ago, pulled in to the car park, bloke on the gate asked for £10...I said 'arr f*****g much!!'...he said 'all the away fans say that'...next time turned up late due to an accident on the M1..no stewards so I parked for free...that showed em.
Opposite the Ricoh Arena, go under a small tunnel and on the right hand side it was £6 to park last time I went.
Totally agree, Benny. The parking was excellently organised. Last year, I left it too late to book, and had to park quite a long way away (on an industrial estate) and still had to pay £5.00.
It was a tenner the last time I took the car to Reading and were were not that close to the stadium. Very difficult to get away afterwards because of the crowds and the very low number of possible exits.
