First of all anyone else making the trip I salute you in all of your mentalness. Secondly and the main issue, if any of you are driving tonight or have driven there before, where abouts are you planning to park? I've read varying websites that recommend avoiding the big Tesco adjacent to the stadium unless you want a parking ticket, and that street parking is a no go as it's all permit only. I don't fancy paying a tenner to park at the stadium. Any help would be greatly appreciated. You reds etc
Im parking in Car Park C, across the dual carriage way from the ground. Paid in advance £5 on 'Ricoh Arena Parking' website.

Parking is a nightmare at Coventry. I reckon if it is a tenner at the ground you would almost be better to suck it up and pay the tenner. Every roadside space for miles around the ground is permit controlled. I parked in a pay and display on the ring road which is about 20 minutes walk away, and even that wad about 8 quid. I felt proper ripped off as when I went in there was a sign saying "football parking £8". When I went back after the game the sign had gone and the normal pay and display prices were in its place which were about £2. I hate the stadium as well, most soulless corporate stadium of all the new ones built. All in all, its my least favourite away day. Add in our form and it all means I would rather **** myself than go tonight. Respect to those that are going.
Nunts Lane/Wheelwrite Lane, Holbrooks Loads of on-street parking and only 5/10 minutes walk from the ground. M6, A444, turn right at the big island next to the ground onto Winding House Lane then take next left onto Wheelwright Lane, bear right onto Nunts Lane. I used to work in Coventry for Jaguar.
Cheers guys. I've decided to play it safe and go for one of the official car parks "car park C" for a fiver. So at least if (when) we get smashed on the pitch I shouldn't be coming back to a parking ticket too.
Word of warning. I went about 7 years ago. Everywhere around the ground was a minimum of £8 to park. Official parking was £12. All the streets are permit holders only. From what I can recall, there's a long wide road which faces onto the ground. If you drive up there and turn left after the level crossing, there's a pub on the left that does 'park and walk' for I think it was £3. Still not great but miles cheaper. About 10-15 minutes walk but practically straight down one road where you can see the stadium ahead of you. At least I think that was Coventry. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
