Saw one of the buses on the hard shoulder on way back, with smoke coming our of the engine compartment at the back - All the reds fans were leaning on the barrier, settling back for a long wait. Wonder how they are getting on..
Mechanical genius on board fixed it, crawled all the way in the slow lane at about 40mph & got back in town just before 6pm
good to hear - looked like you were there for the long haul, gauging by the colour of the smoke coming from the engine!
A large number of the free buses were from York. Our driver was a Leeds fan (and got lost twice), kept trying to read some instructions on a sheet of paper whilst driving! This driver also drove Reds to Wembley so I assume his company put in a good quote to the club, there were about 10 York coaches. It was a Globe coach broke down on the M62, there were 2 empty seat area near us so not sure if they made it?
Ours broke down on the way back, the Globe coach (Hoyland Reds I believe) was on the way there and I think they made it
