Just found this, interesting article! We've had some crackers in the past, and seem to have done okay with them at Oakwell. I loved it when we spanked them in 2001 when they had that awful Tesco bag kit! Wish I was old enough to remember the 1980s game, but my old man goes on about it all the time. http://www.southyorkshirefootballne...-sheffield-wednesday-five-memorable-meetings/
The 3-0 surrender at Oakwell that signalled the start of the official Davey reign as manager was particularly painful.
If were talking about the games at Hillsborough too, the Jamal Campbell - Ryce goal sticks out in my mind. First time we did em in years and the best away atmosphere I will ever hear at a match. Another one that sticks out is the last minute cracker by Chris Brunt to beat us 2-1. The same day Paul Sturrock was on the verge of the sack and those two idiots told our fans to f**k off.
The 3-3 in the Zenith Data System cup is my favourite - we won it on pens! Had to leg it back to get the last train
The game with robbie Williams in midfield that started daveys reign... Still not recovered from that one
The home game against them in season 1990-1.. Andy Rammell put us in front and that total donkey Carlton Palmer got their last minute equaliser. That was a brilliant atmosphere that night despite the late goal conceded.
The worst for me has to be the one on a Tuesday night, lost 1-0, Akpo Sodge scored from a set piece. Had high hopes, boring game.
