.............Cloughie inherited a bunch of players in a team that was near the bottom of the 2nd division (Championship).
Players like Viv Anderson were worth next to nothing when he started managing them.
But he molded the team into a decent unit
Then to make them into the team that could really win things he went out and bought an expensive centre forward

Point being.........Keith Hill has built a decent team out of next to nothing...........but we need a bit of icing on the cake to complete the team and that icing is going to be expensive.

Apart from the fact that Forest were already league champions when they signed Francis.

Bit different to aiming to finish 21st in the second tier.

dont you think we need that viv anderson person first.

theres no point having a 15/20 goal a season striker if you cant defend

Also I am not sure that Hill and Flitcroft are quite the calibre of management as Clough and Taylor were - though I would love them to prove me wrong on that whilst still here

The anology remains more or less the same...........you can build a team with next to nowt.......but when it comes to stepping up a gear, then that means bringing in a decent striker which means the club has to be prepared to spend some money

Nudger , you do know that this decent team we have is in reality pretty crap dont you?
I just thought it may have gone over your head that we are placed 21st in the league, we have won less than 10 games in 2012 and he players are all Hill`s , with the exception of Foster and Steelem plus Stones I suppose.
We have played about 12 good games under this manager and we are losing fans hand over fist.

No, thats news to me............because I think we have the makings of a really really good team
Only problem being - the directors will not allow the manager to bring in a bit of quality.....especially quality strikers

But other than that, I'm happy with the team..........well maybe a tall commanding centre half because we have no cover for Foster.....but other than that I have no problem with the team we have got

Or.............it 'seems' the directors are not giving the manager enough funds to bring in one maybe two quality strikers

could it be that the directors dont trust the manager to bring in the quality, thats why there not giving the funds.

if this is the case then the manager has to go

    Laughing.... Comparing keef to cloughy

The only thing those two have in common is the size of their heads and their massive egos.

we need to put a killer ball into danger areas more often before we can judge any of the strikeforce imo.
