We all wish the sales we have made hadn't happened in the last few weeks but it's been greatly encouraging to see the incoming activity of the last few days. One fear I've got is that a minority of fans might not give our new recruits or existing players being given a game time to come up to speed. It would be great to carry on our current push to the edge of the play-offs but I think the club, Hecky and the players deserve a bit of patience. UTR
A dip in form and results should be expected and not criticised. On the other hand, if we just carry on the charge even better. Giving Rotherham and Wolves sound beatings would be marvellous but I imagine we would all be happy with four points.
I have been quite critical of events this month so far, but that's mainly at the reported low fees we appear to be selling at. I appreciate its undisclosed, but all I can go on is what's reported which usually isn't far off the mark. Still baffled why we gave Sam away, but maybe that's a story to be told later, I dunno. I hate filling the squad with loan players, although again, the ones we have are top class. I know they will perform and do their best, no question. It's just frustrating when we have 6 contracted players in the team and the rest are premier league players we have no chance of signing. If reports are to be believed and we are signing this lad from Leeds, then brilliant. I applaud that and trust he will be good for us. Just hope there is a couple more permanents to follow, or let's play some of the young lads we have if we think we are safe. Rather see them have a go, plus Moncur who has at least signed for us than a prem youngster who has no intention of signing.
