A really excellent statement from the owner

As expected of someone who made it in business, he obviously knows how to manage an organisation. He is right when he implies that we are a well-run smaller club, rather than a larger debt-ridden one. I always felt this was the case in the five/ten years leading up to promotion to the premiership, which was the reward for very wise investment of limited resources. PC looks like a chip off the old block.

His assessment of team performance and manager are also accurate and well expressed. I hope that we now get quickly down to making the few key signings which will complete the squad.

I hope that a) he manages to find key folk, such as (maybe) a chief executive and/or a couple of new directors to help take the burden from him and b) the fans will get behind his overall plans for the coming season.

I also hope that Davey understands and takes to heart what he is saying about the performance of the team.

If Pat Cryne backs the manager...........then we must all do the same

I dont think Davey is a disaster, he has brought a lot of good things to the club including the players he has signed
But he dosen't seem to know how to get those players working as a team.
Consequently we have had THREE seasons stuck near the bottom of the league
For this reason I would have prefered a new start with a new manager

However, we are not partial to everything that goes on behind the scenes.
So if Pat Cryne, who does know whats happening behind the scenes says this guy is still the man for the job then we have to respect that judgement and back Simon Davey

Although if I were Pat Cryne i would put Simon Davey on a warning and tell him that improvements on the field have got to be seen before the end of October
