How does he fit into the Andy Rithie "Contract/No Contract" situation. Is he in a position to influence Gordon Shepherd one way or the other or even to help Shepherd "out-the-door" if it comes to it? Notice I didn't say can he sack Shepherd or anything similar but money talks which is the basis of my original question!
No say what so ever im afraid. As much as he's done for the club with his funds, me or you have just the same amount of say
I think Patrick Cryne has a lot of say.. I would guess he could force GS out pretty damn quickly if he so wished.
RE: I think Patrick Cryne has a lot of say.. How can he??? He only owns the ground and land around it along with the council as far as Im aware. Crynes stated in the past that he doesn't want a 'hands on' position within the club, hence it is down to the Chairman and Directors of the club.
Allegedly he fits into the 'My business might be going down the toilet' scenario. So I doubt he is keeping his eye on the club right now. Apologies to Mr Cryne if I'm wrong.
RE: Allegedly he fits into the 'My business might be going down the toilet' scenario. Isn't he out of the way of ISOFT now because he sold his shares last year!? I think the only way he could get rid of Shepherd is by bidding for the club, which I doubt he will do. Would be great if he did as hes done loads for the club already and the fans respect him (or I hope!!)
AR and GS have done a lot for this club and it's a pity we are in this situation. Patrick Cryne would do another great service if he could knock their heads together and remind GS just what his role and that is not undermining the manager.
He could also inform the manager that the idea of football is to score more goals opposition. (titanic)
