    It used to be a prefix followed by a number. Don't know if it still is.</p>

    I always assumed it gave the holder a certain status, for example when it came to issuing tickets for certain games, but I don't know if that holds anymore. It is still used as an identifier I think.</p>

    Well it says on the main site that if you want to obtain Beamback tickets then you can apply by email quoting your Patron code.

    Do you have to be a "Barnsley World" subscriber to do this?

    I doubt it

    every season ticket holder has a patron code, its written in your season ticket. You'll just need to email the club including the code/number in your email.

    You might want to phone up afterwards to check that they got your email as for some reason they seem to have problems with emails getting to them.

    Mmmm..

    There are 3 possible numbers in my ticket book

    A book number and

    2 different numbers on the card on the inside page

    It will begin with a prefix e.g SA followed by four numbers
