Does anyone know what the Patron code actually means to th club? What does the letter mean? The numbers?

The letters indicate how long you've held the season ticket for, with 'SA' codes being season ticket holders prior to the Premiership, 'PL' being people who've bought a season ticket every year since the Premiership and so on and so on. However, there is some doubt as to the validity of these codes as the club lost its database during the administration years; therefore, records are inaccurate and cannot be used meaningfully in a category priority scheme when allocating tickets for in-demand away games. The nos. are just your own unique membership number.

Those getting a ST for the first time in 1997/98 are a combination of 'PL' and 'SA' codes, as there were too many ST applicants to all have the same 4 digit one.

    'ML' stands for 'Millennium' season.

    Mine says "SA8008"

Not had a season ticket for about 10 years, until now. Now re-installed in Ponty after the wilderness years in the West Upper.

The lady in the box office said I was listed on 2 different previous addresses and had a record of my season tickets, match day ticket purchases and away game ticket purchases. I think she was lying and her computer was just a cardboard box, painted silver to look like a computer monitor.

The 'SA' codes were allocated to people who held a season ticket before the Premiership year ...

approximately 2,000 people who fell into Category 1 when the old ticket priority system was used.

    so then

are stories of lost data a load of ****?

seems to me it would be easy enough to reinstate the former category 1 at any rate.

    Say's he, a ST holder since 1994. :D

    Here's a list of some

GH - glory hunter, bought after getting to FA Cup semi
LE - Leave early, these people must leave with at least 5 mins remaining regardless of the score
WH - Who's he, has no idea who the players are
AL - Arrive late, about 3 - 7 mins into the game, could be an issue here and they may also be eligible for a LE ticket

You couldn't reinstate the old category system now because it's flawed e.g.

if you read BorderTerrier's post further down this thread, you'll see that s/he hasn't held a season ticket for the last 10 years, yet still has a 'SA' Patron Code. Granted s/he has supported the club in other ways during this time (match-by-match tickets, away games etc.) but doesn't strictly meet the old Category 1 criteria (but that's a whole other debate that I don't want to get into here!)
