How many of the remaining games would we need to win to finish in the top two *(based of course on the top two from previous years)

I now it's not that difficult but I'd have to research and he's probably got all the info to hand.

 

In my eyes, paul.d is a genius with his stats and things

 

I reckon 13 more wins (or 38/39 points)ought to be sufficient especially as no one is running away with the league.

 

13 wins from 17 games is a massive ask.

I doubt we've ever had form like that in our history. In the last 17 games of our promotion season to the prem we won 8, drew 5 and lost 4, giving us 29 points. I'd be happy with that kind of return, which would certainly cement our place in the play-offs and maybe even earn automatic promotion.

One other thing, it's not just our performances, it's what the other promotion contenders produce as well in terms of win or lose.

From the stats, 82 points is the minimum anyone has gained auto promotion with (84 to win the league).

I can teach it well because I know where the poor little mites are coming from, but I had no confidence when I was at school.</p>

Aye but this season no-ones running away with it

Five different teams have been top in the past 6 or 7 weeks and we've actually improved our position even though our form dipped. I reckon there'll be half a dozen teams at the top covered by about 4 points. Also, one club not currently in the play-off position usually goes on a run and sneaks in at the death. Stats are a load of boll*x otherwise we'd all be millionaires winning on SkyBet and the lottery.

 

I reckon 80 points will get you promoted this season.
