FORMER Barnsley manager Paul Hart is back in football after joining up with Rushden and Diamonds to assist manager Barry Hunter.

The 52-year-old left Oakwell in early March 2005 and will work with Rushden on a part time basis.

Hunter told the club's Official Website (www.thediamondsfc.co.uk): "In Paul, we will have a man of vast experience and know-how about the place. It's great for us and an invaluable footballing resource is not wasted."

Rushden are currently bottom of League Two and face a battle to stay in the Football League.

Interesting to see how long he will last. There was talk that he might join Nottingham Forest.

At the risk of being hung drawn and quartered

I still think given time Hart would have produced a footballing side capable of winning things.

Admittedly he had crap PR skills, but I think he should have been given time.

that said, 'The king is dead, Long live the King', ... I've no complaints about AR either, think he's doing a good job [IMG]

Getting Tom Williams instead of Murphy was his biggest mistake!
