anyone see the incident? I have had a read through the site, but can't see it mentioned anywhere. Second half, bout 75 mins into the game. Hayes and Centre half having a go at each other...anyone see what Hayes did???? Or was it only me... The ball was in play, so most folk i imagine were ball watching, however...i wasn't.
It 'appeared' like... Hayes spat at him. I was sat bout 5 rows from front of Ponty, and i was looking straight at them...the defender said something to Hayes, Hayes appeared to spit at him, and the the defender lost his head and Hayes had to sit on the other centre half for teh rest of the game in fear of getting his leg broke. As i say, it appeared that way from where i was sat. And obviously nothing has been said since...just looked that way to me. They guy in front of me also said it looked that way too.
RE: It 'appeared' like... Why do you feel the urge to spread rumours about our players spitting at people?
RE: It 'appeared' like... He/she is not spreading a rumour. They are simply saying what they, and others thought they saw.
Because thats exactly what it looked like, by more than one pair of eyes. As i said, i was sat miles away from it, and the defender was extremely angry at whatever Hayes had done to him.
RE: It 'appeared' like... Yes I know that, but why try and get our players in trouble? He's made it clear that he couldn't tell what happened, so to suggest that he may have spat at someone is not on.
RE: It 'appeared' like... I'll tell you what, next time one of our players injures someone accidentally, let's have someone saying: 'I was sat 200 yards away, but I could see the look in his eyes, he went for him, it was deliberate.' Kin ell fire, why mention it?!
Alright.... he APPEARED to open his mouth slightly and some something MAY have come out and landed on the opposition player. Then again, it MAY not have. I was sat in the Ponty, and it happened near half way...
RE: It 'appeared' like... Oh deary me, do shut up. You're making something out of nothing here, or at least trying to.
Cos thats what it looked like... through more than one pair of eyes. IF it did happen, then i wouldn't like players at Barnsley FC doing such a thing. Hence the reason in mentioning it, if it was just me that'd seen it, i probably wouldn't have mentioned it. However, it appeared he did what is 'suggested' through 2 sets of eyes
It's true From my vantage in the West Stand, it was clear that Hayes spat at him, but I don't think it was intentional.
RE: It's true Gobbing on the floor but accidentally getting them? I did it once on one of the bouncers outside Walkabout! Went to gob on the floor and got his coat...luckily he never noticed!
