Hayes and Nardiello would be my 1st choice pairing. Admittedley if they "don't fancy it" it would require changes at half-time.
You really are utterley clueless when it come to football. I bet you are Barry Conlon fan as well.

Nardiello and ? nardiello up front and unfortunetly none of the other strikers at the club are good enough to partner him. we need a good target man next season with the ability to score, Hayes and Richards can provide cover on the bench.
Name a side in top 6 who have 2 strikers who've scored more then 15 goals each?
Hayes is player who sets up goals, and scores a few himself. If we had a striker like Trundle, Sharp or Windass to partner Hayes we'd be in top 2.

depends on what you are wanting from him as a striker yes he's crap. As a link up man he's very good.
It really does depend on what he is to be used for because as you know he doesn't score often enough but you cannot deny that he does create chances for other people. Now if the striker on the end of his chances was michael owen for example then paul hayes would have set up 30 or 40 goals this season. Unfortunatly the player on the end of it is Richards so these chances wont create many goals.
The problem is that if one of the strikers misses the amount of chances that richards does then the other one has to be getting into a position to have chances himself, he cant hang around outside the box putting balls through to richards all day because they come to nothing.
The decision that has to be made is do you stick with paul hayes and richards and hope it comes right? Do you drop hayes and play wright/nardiello alongside richards using the theory that two out and out strikers will be in the position to score more often (but losing out on having that player to provide them with the chances)? Or do you drop Richards and play Wright/Nardiello and hope that the chances Hayes creates will be put away?
For me I would drop richards and give Wright a chance, see if he can get on the end of the chances that Hayes creates. If Hayes sets up a goal every game Wright then it wouldnt matter that he isnt scoring himself.

correction if we had Chopra in the side we would be top 2. If he managed the amount of goals he got in last seasons side he would have got a hat full this campaign.
RE: You really are utterley clueless when it come to football. It's obvious that someone comparing Hayes to Higgy has a stunted knowledge of football, and I genuinely feel for the poor fecker that has your company at a match, Barry Conlon is absolute *****, we can at least agree on that.
yay I don't dislike hayes, I just think that in the current arrangement it isnt working.
What we need is for the Striker to be hitting the net occasionally from the chances that Hayes is creating and for the midfielders to be right up there as soon as he gets the ball. (same goes for when mcphail has it). All too often we run out of ideas close to goal and it has cost us dearly. Unless that happens then Paul Hayes shouldnt be in the team because we are effectively playing with 5 in midfield and 1 up front.

RE: As Ive said a few times... Hayes and chopra? im not so sure because who would win the ball in the air. Certainly not hayes cos he cant head the ball for toffee and chopra's not good in the air. chops with a big man and like reading we would have been celebrating the championship by now. ah well
Why do we need an aerial threat? How many of our goals this season have come through headers from open play? Henry and Bergkamp, Rooney and Saha, Eastwood and Goater in this league, there's no real "target man" in any of them. If Chopra had been on the end of Hayes work yesterday -- comfortable victory. And that goes for a lot of games this season. And Reading? I don't know if you've watched them, but their strikers are Dave Kitson, Lita and Doyle. Lita and Doyle are small, Kitsons reasonably tall but his strength is almost entirely on the ground. Nothing to do with a big man.
Nardiello The most vastly overrated player I've seen at this club since I started watching. He has some outstanding games, but when has he EVER played well away from Oakwell?
or Nardiello If he played every week that he was fit we would be a lot closer to 2nd place. If he want so injury prone and played the full season then we'd be first.
We maybe need a new main STRIKER (not a forward, a striker) required to play in front of/alongside hayes with Nardiello the extra option to switch it to two strikers.

RE: Why do we need an aerial threat? To win goal kicks, the long throws we take, help out at defending corners, get on the end of crosses. Also we are not as good as the teams you have mentioned and i dare say they play from the back, thus not requiring a target man.
RE: Nardiello when has he ever had the chance to consistently show what he can do. if he had been given the same amount of games/starts as richards or hayes he would be top scorer by a mile. you could begin to put wright in the same category as nads as he's not really had a run of games, thus only one goal.
