What did we all think of the one new boy on show? Personally I thought it was difficult to judge as he didn't get a clear chance, but his long range effort was hit decently. He worked very hard upfront and defended from the front, had a good first touch, could play with his back to goal, and played some intelligent passes, particularly a difficult one with the outside of his foot to Wroe, which Wroe and Conlon contrived to mess up between them. Liked him, and if Nardi learns how to stay onside, they'll be a good partnership. Thought McPhail was excellent while he was on, and Williams and Kay were good too. All round decent performance against a pathetic Hull performance.
Things are looking good then, i'm glad Mcphail played well because you will need quality as well as grit and determination in a promotion searching team.
