The worst striker in the entire division, when Dave Regis missed an absolute sitter he was totally lambasted and then moved on, this clown missed from three yards today and will still be picked next week, either farm him out to a non league outfit or drop him into the reserves, young Jarman can only be an improvement.
Jarman showed our forwards how to do it when he came on For the first time in the game one of our forwards (Jarman) dropped off his marker in to space, controlled the ball, turned and sent an exquisite pass beyond their defence for Richards to run on to. Richards cocked it up of course. Hayes? Chuff a priest. Really hope that was just an off day.
to be honest i think all our strikers are poor which is what will cost us promotion this season, have to say that we missed kay and especially howard
Paul Hayes - no intention of running for ball Vs Jarman - sets Richards one on one on straight away who would you pick hard one eh NOT
Laughable Top goalscorer, near enough most assists. Just watch his goal at Gillingham and then tell me he's a clown. Its called low confidence.
He was sh*t today... and I don't argue it. Boulding was sh*t every week apart from a 3 week spell in his Barnsley career, and "assist" wasn't in his vocabulary.
Its laughable... reading all this.
I hope he goes on to score 15 and more this season, and i, for one, will be cheering him on EVERY week.
Last week he gave the performance of his life at Bradford, ran his blood to water! This week, he has an off week, along with the rest of the team i might add, and he's the worst player to ever wear a Barnsley shirt. Comparing him to Dave Regis is beyond anything i've ever read on this board!
Yeah, bad performance, yeah he's going to cost £150k, yeah Scunny are laughing at us 'cos Sharp is banging em in for them...but get behind the lad for god sake. You all support Barnsley Football Club. You should be behind the manager, and HIS players, whatever the situation.
Paul Hayes needs confidence, for that he needs first team football, not some reserves ***** thats played in front of 3-400 fans each week against nobodys. Where the hell will that get him?
Get a grip!
Good luck Paul and thankyou for all your hard work and graft so far, unlike some 'quality' striker we have at the club. All the best for the rest of the season!

hard work? he has been just a lazy as nardiello in quite a few games this season. rotherham away is just one example.
he is a good player but he seems to have something wrong with him at the moment. I think a short spell on the bench behind jarman will wake him up a bit and make him realise he doesnt have a god given right to start every week.

"Keep working hard and the rewards will come..." So many people in football have said this, how can they all be wrong???
Were pushing for play-offs, not planning for next season? You want to throw someone with hardly any first team experience in at the deep end? I'll give it 2 week of Jarman starting before everyone is on his back.
"Jarman hasn't scored in 2 games..." "Jarman doesn't do this...." and all the rest of the ballax most people tend to post these days.

"unlike some 'quality' striker we have at the club" I guess you're referring to Nardiello. A guy who is never given the chance to gain confidence, never given a proper run in the side. FYI Paul Hayes - 14 starts, 4 goals. A goal every 3.5 games. Nardiello - 30 starts, 16 goals. Better than a goal every two games.
