Saying if the right job comes along he'd take it. IF he gets the Tarn job I hope he lives local and doesnt have to move because if that was his house he walked out of I can't see him find owt like that in Barnsley
Just seen that myself, mate A bit of an advertisement for himself actually. Ironical that the next news item was Terry Butcher turning us down. As you say, he has a fantastic house.
As if Thomas Ince would come here, worth 5m and is going back to Liverpool. Sent from my iPhone using Forum Runner
There's some smashing houses around Barnsley, had one of the country's highest densities of stately homes at one point, probably still does. Certainly the grandest 18th C. Palladian job at Wentworth. Don't know if that would suit Mr Ince, I reckon he might fancy a bit of the old country squire lifestyle out towards the moors. That would certainly put a few right wing noses out of joint!
I'd like him as manager, mate Although I accept he's not everyone's cup of tea. I don't see a particularly long queue of potential suitors battering down the manager's door, so perhaps we shouldn't be too quick to discount anyone completely out of hand (with the exception of Blackwell!).
Re: I'd like him as manager, mate Right that's settled then. Someone has to take ownership of this farce and I think we tick enough boxes between us. Paul Ince it is!
I don't envy Don Rowing at the moment Whoever is chosen, there's bound to be resentment from some quarters (perhaps it'll come from me!).
I would have no problem with Mr Ince. The main reason I would prefer Mr Davies is his terrific Championship track record.
