I have to disagree. Ince is probably one of the best choices in the long term. Just look at what he's done at MK Dons and Maclesfield.

    a brave choice, but.....

...glad to see an up-and-coming British manager being given a chance rather than another foreign coach. The last Premier team to try a (relatively) unproven Brit at the helm were Everton with David Moyes, which has really paid dividends. Maybe Ince will come off for Blackburn, maybe not. In any case, he's got to be better than the other Brit they were linked with earlier this week, Steve "wally with the brolly" McLaren.

    You forgot Roy Keane!

You're right though, he seemingly has had a lot of ex players (and even his own son) become rather decent managers

European experience could count against him

I mean in terms of signing players, scouting systems, etc.

However, for any player aged 21 and over, Paul Ince will be a huge, huge footballing name.

And I've just thought, still has a lot of friends at Inter where it's hoped he'll go on and manage one day.
