The former Manchester United and Liverpool midfielder was appointed Manager of the MK Dons in 2007, helping them to the League 2 title in his first season before leaving to join Blackburn Rovers last summer. Dons chairman Pete Winkelman said: "We felt he had unfinished business and it feels right he should return and build on the momentum he helped create.
In the interview he gave he said he would have gone back to League 2 if he had to just to get back in the game as a manager. So I certainly think he would have come here if he had been given the opportunity!
There are some big clubs in League Two We have no right to think we can compete with a club like Bradford City
who said that he would'nt have come here because I'm confused. Was there a suggestion he was being considered?
No but his name was suggested as someone people would like to see brought in but then you get the inevitable cries of "he wouldn't come" or "we can't afford him". The usual B*ll*cks
RE: Not Our New Manager Then? Nah, we'll stick with Davey a bit longer. We've not had enough inept mediocrity yet.
