Harsh on Joe. The lad gave it his all whilst here, carrying a severe knee condition which has hampered his career, and even without that 'excuse' if you like, I don't think he was as bad as your comment suggests. In fact, his display away at dem blades was probably my standout individual performance last season. I know the lad, so I'm biased. But he struggled to play Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday. His knee would swell up, was in lots of pain but Danny had little options due to Smith's injury, so it was either pick Dudgeon who wasn't 100% or stick Nyatanga out there. I haven't asked him, probably won't bother doing so either, but I'd not be surprised if he retires and goes into coaching. He was told a while back that he risked serious problems with mobility in later life if he continued to play at this level. Huge credit to him if he carries on, must be gutting to have to turn your back on the game you love at such a young age. Shades of Luke Potter, another good lad.
I'd have Dudgeon back here, would allow Smith and him to get game time without causing too much in strains for them. Never understood why nobody like Dudgeon, Might have had his bad games but so has Winnall,Hourihane and Nyatanga.

I met him ont radio last season. A hero of mine, and after meeting him, he only went up in my eyes. Just a proper tarn lad, no frills, said it how he saw it. The fact he drove all the way to tarn for that radio show, at a cost to himself during rush hour from the midlands... wow. Speaks volumes that. A legend of a man. Who genuinely did get dogs abuse, despite being the best full back we've had in the last 30 years.
I agree about Eaden, the abuse he got was embarrassing at times and I can't think of one good reason for it. It says a lot about the mentality of some of our fans.
Youd be suprised who Andy and Roy know between them.........those two are better known than the pope and im not talking tom.........they are the ant and dec of barnsley......even though Andy lives in bradford.....Roys new mate ben....pops round for tea and hob nobs......but youve not heard it from me......lol......thats how rumours start lol
