Same as Kenny Jackett did at Rotherham. Owners not being truthful to falsely get the person they want for the job.
I don't really mind Oldham and the decision to appoint Scholes looked like a good one. It must be like pushing water uphill attracting new fans and business to the club when they're within ten miles of the two Manchester clubs.
I've hated Oldham ever since I stood in the freezing cold and watched us concede 2 goals in injury time after battering them for 90 minutes about 15 years ago.
The ManUre mob wont like you posting that Mr Peachy, even thought its true and damn hilarious. Tbh Ive never had much time for them as they were a bunch of cheats who played on a plastic pitch for years, and its no co-incidince is it that we've managed to win games away at Boundary Park since they went to normal grass.
Know what you mean about the cold. Oldham and Grimsby are 2 coldest for me. My dad used to take me as a kid and I remember, before they went plastic for a bit, Oldham being a right quagmire. Happy memories though. I loved Scholes as a player and like him as a quiet, under stated bloke but did wonder if he was cut out for management. Reminds me of how it went for John Hendrie, albeit a little more sudden and a voluntary exit.
Yes it was always toss for us away at Oldham on their subbuteo pitch, and I cant say that Im too disappointed to see them scrapping for a living these days down in the Fourth Division.
He sounds like a proper fanny, resigned by WhatsApp message then refused to answer his phone to discuss it. What a weed!
