    has just tweeted that he expects James Coppinger to complete his loan move to Barnsley tomorrow.

    Interesting one, don't really know what I think of it.

    Me neither. Good player but also a dirty horrible *******. Do we want players like him in our side? Then again will one more of them make and difference considering the players Hill has already signed?

    I think he's a good player, I never liked him after the incident at Oakwell with Neil Austin a long time ago - but I do think he improves our squad. Can play wide right or as an alternative to Mellis in the centre, which is an important thing as we don't really have an alternative to him at the moment.

    I think its probably a smart signing and so do most of the Radio Sheff journos that have watched him a lot more than me.

    Good deal for me that, few months on loan with the prospect of a permanent move, hope they give us 1st refusal otherwise we will just be putting him in the shop window.

    From the little I know about Coppinger, he has always said he is happy living where he does, and that his kids are settled in school. He didn't have any interest in leaving Donny. I suspect this might be something that suits him, us and Donny. They want him off the pay roll, he wants to stay local, with an option to play for Donny again.

    As a player I've always thought he was decent. Not sure if he's past his best though??

    Paul Walker has now added that he doesn't know the exact details of the Palace bid but believes it to be "substantial" - whatever that means.

    anyone remember coppinger turning us down when he was at Exeter ? think we might have offered 50k when Andy Ritchie was manager but he thought he had better options elsewhere

    I would still love us to get a big commanding centre half, it would help me sleep at night instead of having nightmares about Foster and McNulty doing there Chuckle Brothers impression
