    Saw him in concert at the Arena. He was awesome.
    What a voice, sent shivers up my spine.
    Carreras is my favourite though. Seen him 3 times.

    Is how many really remember him - Nessun Dorma is the music I associate with World cup football - none of the music before or since has stood out as well

    yes very Sad,
    now here is a pavarotti sad story regarding my SON
    who died aged 42
    i had a 3 tenors tape,my son came over one and day and said can i have that tape dad,as they do
    ok i said
    Now , they day before he died his wife tells me
    he used to try and sing,like pavarotti when having a Bath
    they tell me,thats what he was trying to sing Nasum dorma
    the last back he had,
    he had a asthme,come heart attack after midnight
    SAD very Sad RIP mr Pavarotti
    sorry 007 ,but alas its a true story
    even worse,thats the day his Mother,was havin her op for Bowel cancer
    its just another sad tale,cheer

    The greatest world cup theme by far. So glad that as a six year old I bought it on vinyl. One of the first songs I ever bought and something i'm glad to own. You don't even need to like opera to respect what he's done for music and his voice is amazing. Rest in peace.
