    Just for balance.

Of the first 5 home games, 2 are Cat C (£25 if bought in advance), 1 Cat D (£23 in advance), 1 Cat B (£28) and 1 Cat A (Aston Villa at £30)

It really doesn't seem difficult to buy a ticket up to a few hours before kick off to save £2. But that's just me.

Sorry, but there is no way any football club can justify charging their fans over 25 quid for any game, regardless of the opposition or when the ticket is purchased.

The club are ripping off their own fans.

You're absolutely right Paul, they do have prices as cheap as that. However, the club have been at best naive in announcing £38 as a potential price. That'll take the headlines, that'll be the focus & quite simply the fact they're happy to charge any supporter that (regardless of what another club charges us) disappoints me greatly.

or an average of £26.20. why not make it £25 and have done with it. remember however its not home fans they are bothered about, this is all to do with fleecing away fans.

When you put it like that it's an absolute bargain. Infact I think the club should charge more.

20 is plenty. You can't defend the indefensible and we shouldn't try.

Just for balance? I'm surprised anyone feels the need to defend the club in this instance.

The prices are a disgrace. No more, no less. It's as if the club don't want home fans to turn up. That'll look great to our players when away fans make up nearly half of the crowd.

20 is plenty I agree and glad I have a season ticket. But the club are thinking why let 6 thousand geordies, leeds and wednesday fans in for £20 when we can charge £30. And we will be getting charges ridiculous fees to go to Elland road, Hillsborough and St James Park.

I was actually going to buy a homeshirt this weekend, they can keep it, along with their 25 pound plus tickets. The club and fans were together riding a wave after what 2016 has brought us, then they score this spectacular own goal and f*ck it all up.

While in the process ripping their own fans, sorry, customers off.

I've sympathy with the club on this.

£23-£28 for the vast majority of games seems reasonable to me. Especially when the club froze season ticket prices, so they haven't got any uplift in price for games at a higher level.

Our travelling fans will face significant pricing around the country, and it seems to me, the club are negotiating with clubs to try and keep category pricing in the lower levels, hence announcing categories on a rolling basis.

Damned if they do, damned if they don't.

Whatever the club do, if it's not in its own fans best interests then it's wrong (unless there's nothing they can do about it).

They're ripping our fans off and putting off future fans too. No adult is going to take their kid to a game for a tenner or whatever if they're going to be forced to pay upwards of 25 quid for themselves.

What would your price plan be? Not having a go or saying this structure is right just curious as to what you would charge if you were at the top at oakwell?

Ripping the fans off? It's not though is it? We will be one of the cheapest tickets in the league. We have to be competitive, otherwise we will end up with a **** load of Stephen Dawsons, Liam Lawrences and Scott Wisemans.

Buy a season ticket, it pays for itself after 10 games and if you can't always make it you can sell it per game at 15 quid and you've made your money back.

Just meet them at the turnstile and scan the ticket in, I did for quite a lot last season.
