Would he be eligible to play for us at Newcastle, or is he still classed as being on loan?

No, he won't be eligible to play on Sunday.

Shame if he can't. Would have been good for him to at least be on the bench.

With Armstrong being ineligible, our plan B is potentially Hedges, Elliot Lee or the lad Brown from the academy.

Am I right in thinking Brad Ash can be recalled from his loan as it's to a non league club? He might be worth giving a go as he's scored for fun this season, albeit in the Conference South.

The only way Armstrong would be good for us is if he was sat on Newcastle's bench

I DO get your point on Armstrong, I really do. But I don't think this has been a great season for his career development. I think he'd flourish playing alongside a big physical strike partner, as would Bradshaw. The two relatively small front men have been bullied out of games many times this season so haven't shown their true potential. Think Armstrong cops the most flack because he's not ours, he turns lazy when frustrated and his head is way too large for his body.
