    Been hacked and had £400 quid taken, phoned paypal and started investigation off and phoned up my bank. Just wondered whether I need to phone police as well? Or is there no point really?Thanks

    My police friend suggests you do report it yes mate. Definitely in fact.

    Paypal & bank will have a specific form for you to complete & it has a section asking for details of who the id theft was reported to at police.

    Police not interested as banks/credit card co's do fraud investigations.

    If you want to make a fraud claim with the companies we deal with you need a crime reference numbr else they won't listen.
