I'm a bit confused about paypal

I always do my ordering using Mozilla, but I thought you registered with paypal, rather than the people you buy from.

If it`s any help I think you open an account with pay pal and charge it with the amount you wish to pay to clients thus avoiding giving bank details to unknown third parties pay pal do charge for the service.

    Reight.

It looks like this supplier only uses Paypal anyway.

It says this - You may make payments from your bank account without adding funds to your PayPal balance.

However, if you feel more comfortable knowing that there are funds in your PayPal balance, you may add them now. While waiting for the funds to clear, you may continue using your PayPal account as usual.

It also says that if you add funds it takes 7-9 days to clear. There aren't sufficient funds in my Paypal account so the question is - if I click to pay by Paypal, and assuming it will then dip into my bank account, does it then still take 6 to 9 days to go through?

    RE: Reight.

I buy through ebay by buying the item, click pay etc.. Then it takes the funds from my bank account as soon as it's paid for (as far as I know), I've never added funds to my paypal account, and doubt I'll ever need to

I always use paypal on ebay

If you are paying then its free and the money comes out of either your bank account or any card you have and usually takes about 3 working days to go out. When you open a account you tell them either your bank account number or card number up to you. However if you recieve money then it goes into your paypal account and paypal charge you a fair bit to recieve it about 3% I think. You then have to transfer your money from your paypal account to your bank account which costs you again and takes 6 - 9 days to go through. hope this helps

Not sure, but it's a percentage of the amount. For example, if you sell something on Ebay, they'll take a percentage of that amount. It's only small.

I you are takng payment through paypal there is also a limit on the amount you can move from your paypal account into your bank account each month on the basic paypal, I think if you are going to be selling alot then you have to set up a professional paypal account.
It's excellent for buying and I've found it really useful for selling a few items on ebay as it's so much easier and safer.

Free to transfer from Paypal to bank account if it's over £50 - or it was when I did it last year. Let it build up to that amount to avoid charges.
