PC- "a body blow" on hearing AR's lack of ambition

    It was gutting to hear Ritchie say that. Also he made some comment about us having no chance of winning the FA cup. I think we all realise that acievements like those are a million miles away but I dont want to hear our manager saying it. Still, gutted to see him go. Seen the first entertainment at Oakwell in many years at the start of this season.

    I don't see how that can be an issue

    At the moment we should be looking for stability and consolidation in the division, after 2 or 3 years you can then look to push on and maybe then would be the time you bring in another manager.

    I actually wrote to Shepherd expressing my disgust at Ritchies comments and got the reply today in which he defends Ritchie to a certain extent. He was also concerned by the comments but said, "Andy was expressing his personal view about our immediate future"
    He went on to say "The difficulty which arises from media interviews is that very often the questions posed can be difficult to answer truthfully without appearing to be controversial and I rather suspect that that was so in this case."
