Turn everything off and start again.

Seriously, turn off the router/modem thingy, wait 30 secs or so, then try again. If that doesn't work, please refer to the other answers to your post.

When it says signal is strong does that refer to your wireless connection, or are you connected by a cable. I'm on orange and a wireless box, this happens to me sometimes, this usually means that the box is downloading software updates and while this is happening you cannot connect to the orange server. If you do as Stahlrost says it will stop downloading and let you connect ( this has worked for me on a few occasions ) but at sometime later the same will happen unless the download starts and finishes while you are off line. Hope this helps.

It could be that windows isn't using this connection as the default one - I had a similar problem - I googled the message on my phone and found a page that helped me.

Have a look at your wireless connection window, it should tell you if you have internet access, all the figures you have given in your post relate to your wireless connection between your computer and your router. I have a strenghth meter in the tool bar and if I have wireless connection but not internet access it shows an exclamation mark over it.

    Re: Still not working

Right, I'm sorry to say that I am on wanadoo/orange and mines fine, this has happened to me in the past as well, I ended up phoning the help line to get it sorted, don't ask me how, I was on the phone ages, following instructions from the sub continent, eventually fixed it but I don't even think she knew what she'd done, she was obviously following a manual and going through the different instruction lists in order. Sorry can't be of more help.
