Seeing England under 21's score more then 4 penalty's and still lose, is it like that with most English managers?
I don't think he's proud of losing on penalties, he's proud of a battling side who were carrying a number of injuries in extra time and managed to battle their way through to penalties. I thought they did really well and were done by the referee not understanding the laws of the game. There's supposed to be an assistant on the byline to flag if the keeper moves early - not sure if there was one but if so he ought to be struck off. If not, it's the ref's fault.
Good to hear, it explains why everyone is quiet on here about the game. I didnt see the game because I'm pissed which explains why i'm posting ballax.
When have you ever seen the rules on goalies staying on their line applied in a a penalty shoot out?!
Why arent they though? In league games I have seen penalties retake because the keeper had one foot on foot in fromt of the goal line and one foot just behind, this guy was almost at the 6 yard line. Shame our keeper was so useless at saving them - only saved one pen out of (lost count was it 15?) they had to miss with the rest. We are the best in the world at gallant defeats
