Has it's moments but 'Tora Tora Tora' is a better movie about the same subject.

The best line in that film was WWII has just started !

Think you'll find it had been going on before that!

No I'm sorry, bar the actual action bits, it's piss poor.

I mean, what other nation needs an extremely shakey love triangle to help explain one of the countries most monumental **** ups/historical moments???

Having said that, isn't antonement similarly shakey? bet it was Hollywood though. Why can't they make historical films without the dross?

Never mind why can't they make historical films without the dross, why can't they make historical films that don't falsify history?

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.

Don't get me started on that one. Acknowledges at the end that it was actually the Brits that cracked the code, but even then has to say that the Yanks also captured the code breaker - ages after we did.

For good quality WWII stuff - it's not a patch on Band of Brothers - that's a top series! Enjoyed every minute of what I've seen so far (first 8 episodes)
