A defensive holding midfielder against bottom of the league Crewe when we are drawing the game and dominating possession? Bonkers.

Pearson wasn't needed. He's useful in scrappy games when we need a fighter. We didn't need that today. We needed a striker, possibly the 20-goal hit man we reportedly are paying big money for might have done the trick.

To top it all off, when Johnson did bring on Smith, he took off Harris, our one player who has pace and can put a cross in.

Slowly losing faith in this chap, his substitutions are horrific! He makes the team worse!

A defensive holding midfielder? Try two. How bad are we that we have more defensive holding midfielders on the pitch than strikers and yet still concede two goals against a team who have only managed 4 away from home since April
