I know its only a few on this board who don't seem happy with this signing but I don't understand why.I would imagine the majority will be delighted to have resigned him.He was like a breath of fresh air when he came last season. The problem we had was how to keep him or get him back. For a first time player at our level he did really well and I expect even more from him this season. Its a welcome back from me.

I think that Pearson would be a brilliant signing, for a year, or even better, permanently.

I think it all depends on formation. Cos if you have a player who is actually contracted to us pushed out of position to fit him in. It raises questions.

I'd like him back. But conner josh and him. One is going to be either out of position. Or its all 3 with no real width. Or all 3 with 2 wingers and one man upfront.

Balance is key. And the only time we have had some balance is when we had JOS and Williams towards the beginning of last season.

LJ spoke of square pegs and round holes. Players out of position. Unless we sign a few more and sharpish. We are going against the very thing he spoke about when he joined.

My problem with having him was , we then played everyone in a different position, he is a central midfielder, but so is Scowen, so is Houriane, so Abbot, so is Rothwell, etc. So we played Scowen wide, or Houriane wide and they were not effective. Then we went with Winnall wide, absolutely crazy. Pearson would be OK if we NEEDED a central midfielder because we didnt have scowen. He is not as good as Scowen and towards the end of his time here he looked average at best.
Just my opinion and I freely admit modern football is baffling me more every day !

Agreed. And to be honest he looked no better than the 7000 other defensive midfielder we've had at the club in recent years. The difference is he was from man utd so must be good

And from me... great signing, don't think we'd get him permanent unless we went up tho..

But WE NEED Pearson, Scowen IS NOT a holding midfielder, Pearson IS a holding midfielder...

If we had got him on loan from Wigan or any other team, he would not have got half the praise he did. He is OK, no more !

I am not asking anyone to agree with me, I was under the impression we lived in a democracy, not a dictatorship !

Everyone has their own opinions and that is how it should remain.

There's no doubt the BBS at times can be reminiscent of an episode of Coronation Street from back in the '60's, listening to Ena Sharples, Martha Longhurst and Minnie Caldwell, sat in the snug & chuntering away at their lugubrious best!:D

He's an upgrade on Digby/Abbott. But not much better - IN MY OPINION :) - than Luke Berry. And, it's a loan deal when I thought that was summat we were trying to move away from? Saying that, they've told us that every year for about 8 years. The swines.

But we only have him on loan for a month (for now) and Hourihane is injured.

Youth loans have to be month to month.

Whereas I believe Ena is saying "I think Johnson is a rubbish manager. He should listen to us fans because we know everything, never get it wrong and wouldn't admit it even if we did. Which we don't. All our signings are rubbish and we're going to get relegated. If anyone of you disagrees with me, you're wrong and know as much about it as Elsie Tanner!":D
