Just a quick final note to say thanks to those who supported this great cause by sponsoring me. Completed the 4 day ride on Sunday afternoon, just about 303 miles from London via Dunkirk. Very powerful stuff en route, remembrance a key part of it, and part of the route passing through a chunk of the Somme battlefields and a ceremony at the British Memorial at Dunkirk. Humbling.

I know some off here were kind enough to sponsor me, a huge thank you for that, and BFC for giving me some free press in the Sunderland matchday programme. I've managed to raise £1025.00 plus gift aid.

Medal presentation was done by the RBL National Chairman, Terry Whittles, who is from Penistone, small world. And shared a many miles and a few beers with a guy who is a good long term friend of Darren Barnard. Spoke very highly of Barnsley.[IMG][IMG]

I've known Andy since primary school so we go back a long way. This is the second time he's completed this now and you can't fail to be inspired by his experiences.

What you don't see is the amount of training he puts into it beforehand. Rain, wind or shine you can pretty much guarantee to see a few eye watering Strava pictures on FB each week.

Top bloke, fantastic achievement and a great cause supported in the process.

    Well done once again.
