Why are we so slow in our build up play when we attack.players in decent positions but everything seems to go static too quickly. Lack of movement/runners to give the player on the ball an option. Everyone stands still waiting for the ball. What's happened to the days when our players ran the channels/ran into space

Main point of frustration in the Ponty - the slow build up. Lovely triangles between Davies and the defenders, the other lot stood admiring it.

I think we are overcrowding the midfield meaning nobody has any space so they stand around and then pass backwards and try again.

LJ says we're great when we're dynamic, and crap when we're slow.

Then has em snailing around at the back with it.

And has ballboys everywhere with a slack attitude which permeates everywhere too.

Every throw in takes for ever.

As does a corner when CH has to traipse over from miles away.

So much for a quick tempo. It's like the bad times when we had that Icelandic chap in charge.

Don't get me started on Davies
How long does it take him to take a goal kick/decide which of the 2 CB'c he's going to roll it to
Scores 1-1 we want a winner n he takes 5 minutes waving players to other side of pitch before he takes goal kick

Agree. When teams sit in against us the only way we're going to break them down is with quick and precise passing.

The two things that frustrated me the most today was how long it took to take every throw in, and the centre halves (particularly Roberts) unwillingness to carry the ball forward and commit one of their forward players to open up a bit of space in midfield.

We're so slow because of the set up. A crowded midfield leads to short passes being exchanged with little forward movement. We aren't playing with natural wingers and only one proper full back. The tempo often comes from quick passes out wide and the wide players driving forwards. We haven't got this option and so CH, Nyatanga and Watkins end up passing back inside and losing momentum.
