Get a grip. Chill the fook out. Even if LJ stays the season we will comfortably steer well clear of the relegation zone. Yes we've been on a horrific run but I still see us as a midtable side and that is where we will rightly finish unless something drastic changes. Sheff Utd were in this exact position a few years ago and eventually finished 8th. A change of manager and a decent transfer window could turn our season around dramatically just as it did with the Blunts.

And if we don't get a change of manager and a decent transfer window?

The table doesn't lie , we are playing slow pedestrian football, not creating chances and conceding daft goals

If LJ stays we'll be in a relegation dogfight.

We'll see! I see nothing of the current tactics-performances-body language-spirit-belief-camaraderie that suggests anything other than a drift into the abyss

You might be right, we'll see, but I don't think those worried about relegation need to get a grip. We're in the relegation zone right now. Once you get out of September, any team that finds itself in that position is there for a good reason: the team isn't very good. And it's not like we're being unlucky, we deserve every defeat we've been handed. One of them at conference side Altrincham. While there are examples of teams having a very good second half to the season after a poor first half, like Sheff Utd a few years ago, far more teams who are in this position in November are relegated come May.

We're already in that zone though. And have lost 10 games, that's more than anyone else.

Here's the table, it makes for horrific reading.

Without some serious strengthening in all areas I just don't see how anyone envisages a recovery to mid table. If Johnson stays relegation is inevitable.

    Your post is a contradiction.

The Blunts did it because they chopped a clueless **** nut.

    If we don't, we won't.

You do realise that sheffield united went on a barm storming run in the second half of the season, in order to reach mid table, after they had dumped their clueless manager don't you?. It was promotion form for half a season to reach mid table because of where they were before it started. They barely lost a game for half a season. Those sort of turnarounds are very rare. Do you honestly see it happening?

Never mind us putting in promotion form to reach mid table, You do also realise I assume that we now need mid table form for the rest of the season just to pass the 52 point mark to stay up?.

If Johnson stays, we'll finish 22nd at best.

We may finish above Fleetwood, we may finish above Crewe. No higher than that, though.

Top six means a dozen defeats typically. So just need to lose a couple more in next 30 games and we are fine. Top 10 is the best we can do now. So in a way staying in league is best we can hope for
